Overview

X450-G2 / X460-G2 repair and refurbishment

The Extreme Networks X450-G2 and X460-G2 are end-of-sale managed Layer 2/Layer 3 stackable enterprise switches. These remain widely deployed in UK education institutions, NHS sites, and enterprise environments. The SummitStack stacking architecture means a failed stack member can degrade the entire stack. Migration to the ExtremeSwitching 5520 requires new hardware and licence migration. We carry out component-level repair on X450-G2 and X460-G2 units.

FAQ

X450-G2 / X460-G2 repair FAQs

Are the X450-G2 and X460-G2 still available new?

No. Both models are end-of-sale. Third-party repair is the practical option for keeping these switches in service without migrating to the ExtremeSwitching 5520.

My X460-G2 stack has a failed member — can you repair it?

Yes. The failed stack member can be removed and sent to us for repair while the remaining members continue to operate at reduced capacity.
